In order to ensure that the guests of our private parties have the best possible experience, and that the resident cats are safe and comfortable throughout the event, we ask the host of a Private Party including children under 10 years old to read and agree to the terms below.
For the privacy and comfort of our private event guests, we usually do not position our staff in the Cat Room during your event. However, this requires some degree of monitoring the children by the adults present to make sure the rules are being followed. As such we ask that :

the party include no more than eight children under the age of ten.

A ratio of one adult per two children is maintained [i.e. 4 adults for 8 children]
In addition to following the posted rules for all guests, we ask that you remind of the children of the following before the event :

the cats can be picked up, but not carried around the room

the cats can not be forced to play with certain toys or enter tunnels/wheels/beds.

all cat-related items other than toys are NOT to be moved about the room or modified - this includes cat tunnels, "donut" beds, enclosures, and any cat trees or scratching posts.

if a cat is in an enclosure, there should be no opening of the enclosure, or tapping, scraping, or otherwise disturbing the enclosure with a cat inside.

All toys, especially "wand" toys, should be kept below shoulder level to play with cats on the ground, as swinging overhead can injure cats and guests.

screaming, shouting, or repeated squealing creates stress in the animals and cannot be allowed.
If our staff observe any of the rules above not being observed, they will enter the Cat Room to notify the party. If the behavior continues after two [2] notifications, the party may be ended by staff to protect the well-being of the cats.
If this occurs less than halfway through the scheduled time, a 50% refund will be given to the source of payment; if this occurs more than halfway through the event, no refund will be provided.
